Partnership-Based and Dependent Child Visa
Surani Associates understands the importance of family and the desire of having your family members close. This is why we can provide assistance with any family visa application.
The Partnership-Based Work Visas allows the partner of a visa applicant to join them in New Zealand. For example, if your partner has a work visa, they can support your application for a visitor or work visa. This allows a couple/partners to be together while they both live and work in New Zealand. There is a requirement that partners are in a genuine and stable relationship and are living together (evidence for this will be require, such as proof of joint bank accounts or proof that the couple lives at the same address). There are also health, character and a funds requirement that needs to be fulfilled.
The Dependent Child Visa are for the dependent children of parents. If the parent has a visa or is applying for a visa, they can include their dependent child in their visa application. This visa category is available for children who are of a specific age, single and financially reliant on their parents.
These two types of visas are dependent on the main applicant. So, for instance, the length of your stay will be the same length as the main applicant.
Partners and dependent children can join their partner/parent if the main applicant has a Immigration New Zealand Student Visa, Work Visa or a Visitor Visa.
