Registration Requirements for Skilled Visas

Skilled Migrant Category (SMC):

Provisional, trainee, intern, or limited registrations don't qualify for points
NZ work experience points only count after gaining full registration
Only regulated NZ registrations are eligible
Self-regulated professions are not included

Work to Residence (WtR) and Straight to Residence (StR):

Provisional registration acceptable under specific conditions:
- Must be a Green List requirement
- Enables lawful work in NZ
- No further training needed for full registration

Escalation Process for Legal Representatives

Legal representatives can contact immigration officers' managers
Process: Contact Customer Service Centre for manager details
General complaints can use the standard feedback process

Temporary Visa Holder Obligations

Important Information for Visa Holders:

Must inform INZ of material changes before visa grant or first entry
Single-entry visa holders: Report changes until visa grant/first entry
Multiple-entry visa holders: Report changes before each re-entry
Changes affecting visa conditions may require new visa application
